Job Description:
The Associate Director-Strategic Sales is a customer engagement role that leads and coordinates selling and partnership activities within large Dermatology Groups, Health Systems, IDNs, Teaching Institutions, and Veteran’s Affairs National Health Systems and is responsible for the integration of Mindera Health test(s). The Associate Director- Strategic Sales has responsibility for a mixture of sales, account management, and health plan pull through.

This role is responsible for developing interest, utilization, and clinical benefits of working with Mindera Health to help business and growth objectives. The Associate Director-Strategic Sales creates, develops, and continuously manages assigned local, regional, and/or national healthcare system relationships.

About the Role:
  • Functions with full account ownership with all assigned large Dermatology Groups, Health Systems, IDNs, Teaching Institutions, and Veteran’s Affairs National Health Systems to grow revenue, increase utilization, and drive volume by supporting test(s) protocol adoption.
  • Implements innovative strategic selling skills to gain access, selling time, and interest in partnering with Mindera Health to support test(s) adoption for appropriate patient types.
  • Develops and maintains quarterly and annual business plans to secure, implement and manage assigned large Dermatology Groups, Health Systems, IDNs, Teaching Institutions, and Veteran’s Affairs National Health Systems strategic relationships, including targeting, development of key decision-makers, clinical education, clinical data collection, utilization, and evaluation.
  • Effectively works cross-functionally with Mindera Health, internal stakeholders, and Sales Leadership to develop alignment around strategies for securing access to our testing platforms with specialized groups to support adoption across assigned accounts.
  • Accountable for strategic evaluation of complex scenarios that require interpretation on a wide variety of issues related to business objectives, varying laws/regulations, etc.
  • Shares evolving trends associated with key target accounts with Sales Leadership.
  • Participate in sales meetings, seminars, industry conferences, and trade shows to gain laboratory market intelligence and leverage new contractual relationships.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a sense of urgency to meet timelines.
  • Highly developed written skills, the ability to produce documents for dissemination both inside and outside the organization.
  • May lead cross-functional teams or projects.
  • Serves on other work groups or committees as requested.

Basic Requirements:
  • Able to share specific past sales successes with large Dermatology Groups, Health Systems, IDNs, Teaching Institutions, and Veteran’s Affairs National Health Systems.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of biotechnology, diagnostics, and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, and flexible to changes in an ever-changing dynamic environment.
  • Multi-dimensional in abilities to work on simultaneous tasks, work cross-team, and at different levels of the organization, whether internal or external relationships to the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, time management skills, personal initiative, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of company product specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic.
  • Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of the following computer software programs: Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to travel, on average, 60% of the time.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • 8 to 10 years of direct diagnostic laboratory or anatomic pathology physician sales, Hospital Systems account management/sales experience, strategic account management, or pharmaceutical strategic accounts and contracting experience required.
  • Biomarkers/Diagnostic/Lab Developed Test experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas related to pharma/diagnostics: Sales, IDN/GPO, Hospital Systems Account Management including government facilities preferably in the life sciences and/or pharma/diagnostic industry Sales Leadership or Account Management experience required.
  • Proven experience in launch success including system approval, integration, and pull-through, preferably showing full adoption of products.
 
  • Psoriasis and/or Dermatology experience preferred.
  • Experience in developing plans and measures, consulting with and engaging cross-functionally, and exposure to technical project management is preferable.
  • Comfortable communicating, presenting, and selling at the executive level (Lab Director, CEO, COO, CFO) within healthcare organizations.
  • Must be an exemplary team player that can work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be able to work independently and with a sense of urgency to meet timelines.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in life sciences or business-related field required.
Graduate studies preferred.
